    Another basement ceiling question

Not sure if anyone remembers my previous thread; https://homerecording.com/bbs/showthread.php?t=261771 As previously posted, I have plenty of 2x4's, which I am going to use between my basement "ceiling"/floor joists, and the drywall which I am going to secure to it. (floor...

    stupid question

Let's not forget the roar of gurgling flatulence, and the occasional moan which can sometimes escape a prostitute who has been chained to a basement wall for days....

Guitar Modeling Recording. So new. So confused

:confused:See...that's what I mean... Everytime I think I have my feeble head wrapped around something. I agree about the 1010's software. When I am away from my computer for extended periods, I always have to re-learn something. Not very intuitive IMHO.

    Small Metal Tube Amp?

How easily could the difference between a 30/50 watt tube amp could be heard? I'll definitly vouch for Mesa 50 watt amps being loud as hell. My solo 50 keeps up just fine.

    The baddest metal lick ever

I concur, the brutality award indisputably still belongs to mshilarious... in this thread... so far... unless someone else trumps you....

    Soundtech Q310 Mono 31-band EQ

Is this thing a hunk of shit, or might it actually be of use? Can't find anything identical on ebay. No, I have not even powered it up yet, but it's been loaned to me to see if it might be of use w/guitar/vocals or whatever....

How well will this work (basement ceiling)?

Yeah, I'd like to, but I'm broker than our economy is right now! They're 1.5 in. wide X 7.25 in. deep... umm...material is wood!:D I'm sorry, I don't know what you mean there! There are several existing walls down there already, so does that qualify as a load bearing element...

How well will this work (basement ceiling)?

Leave an entire inch? Really??? Probably a stupid question, but does the additional weight of the extra layer of drywall equal any structural liability? My house was built in 1948....
