    low watt amp recommendations?

Thanks for all the opinions. I'm looking for a metal/punk tone. Guess I should have said that first. I'd LOVE it if there was a power soak sort of thing that I could use with the triple rectumfrier. As far as pick ups, I have a bunch of different guitars(87 usa strat, 92 les pauls studio...

    low watt amp recommendations?

Hey all. I'm looking for a low watt amp for studio work. I have a Mesa Triple Rectifier that I love but its too loud in some studio situations. What do you think of the Orange Tiny Terror? Any other suggestions? Not interested in the line 6. I had one and alot of the sounds were good but...

Has anyone used a Josephson e22s?

A 57 is my go to for snare now. I have issues with hihat bleed and thought I could get it in the null better with a side address. What do you use yours for? Since I could get 16 or so 57s for the price of one e22s I want to be sure.

    MS 16 in Cleveland

Well my analog friends, I've come to the end of the road. My last project on my ms16 is at mastering and I have to make room for my mx70. Anybody interested? It is well maintained and recently gone over and calibrated by Chris Mara on his last visit from Nashville. Here is a pic of it in my...

recording my schools stageband. suggestion needed

I'd try recording a rehearsal using two mikes (sdc). walk around the room while they are playing and find where it sounds best to you. The other way would take a lot of set up (especially the drums if they were set up like a jazz band on a stage). I could be fun if you had a lot of time though.

    A**hole seller stole my photos!!

This happened to me a few years ago on a nuemann mic I was selling. I contacted the guy and he said that he didn't have a picture of his so he used mine. He did say on his auction that it was not a picture of the actual mic (after I contacted him).

talk to your masterer (is that a word?). They will let you know what you need to do and what format they need it in.

    TASCAM Shootout

I picked the 38 for sound quality and this assumes a good mixer. I've owned both a 388 and a 38. The 388 is definately one of a kind as far as a package goes but I think that the 38 (AGAIN, with a good mixer, i was using an m520) sounds better, especially if you are bouncing tracks. Just my...

    Tascam M-512 for $200

I've owned two 520s in the past and they worked great. If it is presentable offer $150 like sweet said. Its a lot of board. perfect for 8 track.

    When they ruled the world....

I just sold a black Kustom 100 head and 1 x 15 cab. It included the covers for both that had never been used. I got it from the estate of the original owner. It was near perfect, just a little pitting on the metal of the handles. I'm looking for a blue sparkle one like I had in the 70s-80s

    Fostex E-16 or Tascam 388?

Go for the 388. Its all in one and they sound great. If you get the 16 you'll have to get a mixer and cabling.
