I was just going to mention the Orbans. They sound great and you can find them for reasonable prices. You also might consider taking the budget and upgrading to a 1/2 inch 8 track machine. Using a better machine at the beginning definitely improves the sound at the end.

Got all the docs. Just don't know how to read them.

Biggest problem is that stuff going into channel 10 comes out on channel nine and stuff that comes in on channel 9 doesn't come out anywhere. Plus the signal on channel 10 (which is controlled by the channel 9 slider) bypasses the preamp and eq. I've switched other channel strips into the 9...

Cory, I'll get some pics up soon. I like Beamish but Dane is so busy it can take months to repair something. Plus it is a 24 x 16 desk in my third floor walk up studio so moving it is a bitch. Haven't had good experiences at Empirical.
