"Any Flavor You Like".....Taste some new RAMI.

Yup! The thing I noticed more about this, as opposed to your other offerings, is your vocals. They are perfectly placed, and sound awesome, dude. Whatever gear / changes you got or made, keep em on your vox. It works. Great job.

    Try It Again

Gotta say that the drums seem mixed way too far in the background on this one. Also, there's a mid freq that is pretty consistently too prominent in the guitars and vocals. Probably somewhere between 4 and 700hz, probably. I'd love to hear this remixed. Gotta get rid of that drummer, too...

    Blow-Up Doll - A Greg_L original stupid love song

Amazing, dude. Still upping the ante after all these years... Great stuff, Greg. I still tell people you are the dude who taught me how to track (and tune) drums appropriately. (for better or worse, ha!)

    don't come here no more

Quite different from your usual offering, but I liked it! It took a bit to settle in, but about the half-way mark, I was groovin'. Thanks for writing and sharing, Pete! Keep it up!

Burn in the Sun - Full production release

Thanks, man! Glad ya liked it. Also, I didn't realize you had released an album! What's the best way to buy it? CDBaby?

    Leaving It All Behind

Great work, guys! Except for the drummer, you guys are stellar. I'd probably bring the vocals up a bit more. I can hear the kick / bass just fine now.. Space is good, too. Kudos.

    Been a while

Keith! Yo, man.. This sounds great. Listening to it through my Grados, it seems a (hair) bit bright generally, but other than that, it's super tight. I love your stuff. Listened to the whole thing and wanted more. :) Happy trails, and congratulations on your new daughter!

Burn in the Sun - Full production release

Thank you, Mr. Clean! I sure do like a really nice-tight guitar sound.. Maybe I'll revisit the end of the guitars in this one... It's replies like this that give me faith in people. Thanks for your direct comments, Hegs. I did compress it a bit much, now that I've listened to it so...

    Somewhere.....

Yeah, dude... Sounds really good. Levels are a little low, and you could probably get away with pushing the master a bit more. Might be just me, but the vocals seem panned to the left a bit. Not bad, just would expect a bit more centered. Something I'm hearing in the guitar may or may not...

Burn in the Sun - Full production release

Thanks for the listen, Pete! Ya know, I used that trick in track 3 of the album ( Tiny Boats ), and had I had enough time with Burn in the Sun, I definitely would have done that, but I didn't even think of it. Great idea, though. Burn in the Sun was almost an afterthought on the album, as it...

    Critique my Competition Mix!

Holy crap, am I jealous of your sample library, man.. Those sounds are incredible. I listened to the piece 4 times, twice through Adams A7X monitors, and twice through Grado SR-225' headphones. Very tight mix, man. Very, very well done. After the 6th listen (two more times during writing)...

Burn in the Sun - Full production release

Thank you for your comments, Tobe. Yeah, that boom you hear in that song is the result of us stomping on a piece of plywood, and that's the way it came out.... I guess I could have panned it, but I thought that leaving it in its original state would be unique. I considered panning it to the...

Burn in the Sun - Full production release

So... I feel badly about this, but I've been producing music lately and not putting it up here. This place is where I learned how to track and mix drums properly, and basically got stellar advice from people all over the world for the span of a few years. So, to make up for this heinous crime...

New Song "We Are One" - How's This Mix?

Oh, man! This song JIVES! The guitars are in my face, and wow... they sound GOOD! Guitar solo fits in very well. Vocals are amazing! That said, and I hate to say this, but in comparison, your drums sound almost dead. The toms sound like paper, and IT'S KILLING ME to say that. The snare...

First New Post In A Long While - How's This Sounding So Far?

So good to hear something new from you, Dave! I've gotta put something up myself... Hrmm.... Anyway.. Here are notes I made while listening on studio monitors (Adam A7X). Toms need to come WAY up they're almost gone as is.... general low-mids need a bit of taming throughout the song (master...

Treading New Ground - Mixing Acoustic Drums and Electronica...

Thanks to everyone for your replies and suggestions. I agree that in and of itself, it's a bit long, even as an ambient piece, it needs a little something more. Not a bad idea getting a nice guitar solo in there, too, Chili.

Put up some pics of your kit

Bah... Why not? DW Performance Series w/ AAX cymbals, and a Paiste Twenty Custom. Good times. :guitar:

Treading New Ground - Mixing Acoustic Drums and Electronica...

Hmmm... I can only assume that by "cheesy" you mean "out of date", which I wholeheartedly agree with. Distortion on the drums...? Interesting thought... I'll have to see if that will work. Thanks for the suggestion, Magnawolf.

Honestly, dude... If you don't make an album available soon, I'll have to go back and find it all in these forums and download it all just so I can listen to the great vibe you've created. Love your stuff, brother. Love it.
