I didn't mind the guitar tones at all, either. Nice and grungy... Good sounding distortion.. Nice and smooth. I can hear a bass, but it's very, very low. Drums are another story. Your kick is very hard to hear, and from what I can hear, it sounds flappy, but that might be the inconsistency...

FWIW, this mix is definitely not bright on my monitors, but on my "bright" headphones (Grado SR-225), your vocals could use a bit of a tone-down in the brightness area, but nothing else... (probably around 3 - 3.5K). That said, I don't find this mix to be bass-heavy either. It's pretty tight.

Good to hear something from you again, Whitestrat! Initially, I think the drums are a bit loud (especially the snare), guitars could come up, too. Performance on the drums could be tightened up, too. I'm interested in hearing the vox when ya get em' recorded.
