How do you know the power adapter is OK? Do you know if your deck has fuses?

It's been a while since I posted out of the analog forum but I thought I'd add a few Cd's I listened to this week. 1 was Living Sacrifice - Conceived In Fire from 2002 and Tourniquet - Where Moth & Rust Destroy 2003. I will admit the sound is very crisp and clear. 2 Cd's you can crank up & enjoy.

I have a han d mag and love it. I'm sure the Teac would work as well although the han d mag might be stronger.

Some used tape is better then others. I guess it depends on the age, type, if it was spliced, quality when new, and how it was stored. Someone else should chime in with that info. However, if the tape is unknown it would be cheaper to remove the tape from the reel for cheaper shipping. Be sure...

I agree that Junkbay is a gamble. Shipping can be most brutal on the decks as well. Check out the packing 101 thread and learn what not to do when buying or selling things that need to be shipped. Try to buy local if you can. Good luck and welcome to the family.

That hurts to see 2400 feet of tape go in that timeframe. If you look at it that way it looks more expensive then you might realize.
