    Replacement pickups

You want single-coils, and your a humbucker man then you should check out the Bill Lawrence L-280's. These are single-coil sized "stacked" design hum-cancelling pickups. They do not sound like humbuckers, but do sound like vintage single-coils, just with no 60 cycle hum at all. The 280 neck...

ASUS CUSL2. Are there other boards that will have better upgrade options later on?

The CUSL2 is a great board! It's what i'm using... dont bother with the "on board" sound though. It is very upgradeable, i'm about to put a P3 933 in it and 256k pc133 more RAM in it.. Go for it, jumper free - you cant go wrong.

How has had experience with the SansAmp Bass Driver DI?

The SansAmp Bass DI, is not a amp modeling device. I have a solid state bass amp (Hartke B-90) and using the Bass DI with it makes it sound very tube like, as if I turned the B-90 into a tube bass amp. I like to use it as an EQ for the bass also. If you already have a good tube bass amp, the...

Need help with wiring a S.D. Lil '59er

Ok, I talked to a local tech. and here's what I have come up with so far. Solder the white and red wires together as if you are making one wire, and just let it hang free (dont solder it to anything.) Then depending on how my bridge position is set up one wire, lets say the black one, will go...

Need help with wiring a S.D. Lil '59er

This Seymore Duncan Little '59er single-coil humbucker has five wires, black, white, green, red, and a bare ground. I'm wanting to wire it up for just a standard bridge position with nothing fancy like splitting. Which wires do I solder to the volume pot, which ones go to the switch and what...

    Those Fender Vintage-Noiseless Pickups

If your looking for real good vintage sounding, noiseless single coil pickups, check out the Bill Lawrence 280's. They are great pickups and are noiseless but sound like vintage single coils and they are only $40 a piece.

    Money no object-amp

Another Cyber-Twin vote! Truely amazing amp, I use to go through stomp boxes and multieffects processors but not any more. The C-T has all the effects you could need already built in. I didnt really notice how much those stomp boxes killed my tone until I plugged straight into the C-T. This...

    Looking for cool new amp

Hard2Hear, check out that DirtyThirty preset and let me know what you think! Oh, one other thing. Get familiar with the Timbre setting, If your anything like me you'll need to change some of the presets' Timber setting to the RazorsEdge. This fattens and warms up the tube sound (EQ) and fixes...

    hard drive recommendation

I've got a motherboard that supports UDMA/100 IDE and I'm looking for the best 72000 RPM 20 GB out there. This will be my primary audio drive. So, which one is it, Maxtor? Oh it needs to come with an 80 cable so I can use the UDMA/100 feature. Thanks!

    Strat Question

Dont let the swimming pool route fool you. They sound just as good, some even better than SSS or HSS route. The little bit of wood being gone doesnt effect anything. This topic has been beaten to death over at the fenderforum. And I've also talked to Bill Lawrence about it, he feels the same...

    Looking for cool new amp

cerealchamp, go for the Cyber-Twin! The only way to really get to know it and hear what is capable of is to get one and play it for about two weeks. This is an amazing amp! Of those "bad" reviews that I've read, it seems that people are going by what other people have said about the C-T or...

Whats the difference between Ultra ATA 100 and Ultra DMA/100?

I'm wanting to upgrade my PC's hard drive. The manual says it supports Ultra DMA/100 BusMaster IDE. However I look around for these and all I come across are Ultra ATA drives. What's the difference?

I'm selling my Kramer 600 ST for $200

I hope it is ok to post this here. I'm selling my Kramer because since I bought my two Fender strats I just dont play it anymore and I could really use the money. It comes with a hard case, has a Floyd Rose II trem., and EMG active pickups. Please check my site that I made for details and...
