    Good reverb VSTs?

The Lexicon PCM Reverb is reputed to be pretty awesome, as is the ArtsAcoustic one. I can definitely vouch for Valhalla Room being a kick ass reverb, especially for the price.

FT - Sennheiser 416 for Quality Mic Pre or ?

I doubt I've got much that would interest you in the way of trades... I'm secretly hoping that you'll get sick of waiting for something tempting and open this up for cash money.

    Good Tumblr Themes for Music

That looks pretty nice but I don't see a place for a music player widget... Personally, when I visit a site I don't want to have to scroll around looking for music to play.

TASCAM US1800 doesn't work with reaper?

It's probably broken like you say... but for the record, to the person who mentioned ASIO4ALL, the US1800 and most, if not all Tascam devices have downloadable ASIO drivers, which are pretty stable and work well. FWIW, I use a US1800 with REAPER on a PC and I very rarely have a problem that is...

The Everything "EZDrummer" and "Superior Drums" thread.

Roots is only for Superior, right? I don't see it in the list for EZD products... I read somewhere (maybe it was earlier in this thread) that all Superior products worked with EZD as well - one just wouldn't get the extra 'nuances' and stuff that Superior has, like the extra humanize options and...

    Good Tumblr Themes for Music

I would vote for wordpress, as they have some real nice themes and plugins that are made specifically for music and musicians. But again, you've got to pay for the good ones. I would suggest saving up to buy a real nice theme that suits your needs and style. In the meantime, you could make a...

Field recording ocean waves - clueless newbie

The hardest thing about capturing the sound of the ocean is the wind factor. Waves are biggest when the wind is at its strongest, which means that your recording is likely going to be ruined. You'll need a serious blimp and you'll have to pick your time and location carefully. Maybe, if you live...

Panning different EQ ranges of 1 instrument

Some of my favourite drum sounds are ones from the 60's and early 70's and most of those bad boys are mono. I think there is certainly a place for mono drums and also a place for panning the bass outside of centre. Anybody who says definitively that there isn't is thinking one-dimensionally and...

    Saturation

I like FerricTDS and TesslaPRO, both by Variety of Sound. They're free (PC only) and do a good job. When to use saturation? Beats me, tbh. I just use it when it feels right - most often, this happens to be bass guitar and drums but not OH.

Panning different EQ ranges of 1 instrument

Last time we saw the OP was on page 1. I think he dipped out once he saw the love affair between snus and CMB begin - that's also when this thread went to shit.

    Tascam 1641, 1800 or 2000

You could try running the 1/4" line outs (1,2,3,4) of one US1800 into the 1/4" ins (11,12,13,14) of another US1800. That's the only way I could see it working but you'd likely have problems with gain staging. The one nice thing about the US2000 that I would have liked to see on the 1800 is the...

Which DAW Trial version to play with?

I vote for Ableton. REAPER is my main DAW and while I love it, I think Ableton would be more fun to play with on a 15 hr flight. Working with loops seems easier... it just seems like the kind of DAW that'd make putting together a tune without the need to actually track anything easier.
