Do you honestly think people will be able to let go? I doubt it...they'll be around for a while! :) I don't really have much of a problem using them so I guess they're stayin' with me! But then again 20/20's do sound pretty good. :)
Are you talking about controlling the vocal volume before or after mixing? If you want to do it while recording use a compressor. If you want to do it afterwards, do it within Cakewalk.
Do a search for Yamaha AW4416. It's quite a sweet little device from what I've seen. Getting beyond the sales hype means doing your research and going to your local music store. Whan the salesman starts spittin' out specs you just gotta say "Hey, look ya fuck I'm about to spend 3 grand here, I...
HEY!!! I'm not so sure about that "just stack the t.v. on the monitor" idea. :) Truly though, what do you already know about the recording process? What else do you own? Umm...yeah what camn said...
Why are you using the Boss comp/limiter as a preamp???? Looking at the specifications of your mixer it say's "6 or 8 Mono Channels with high quality UltraMic™ mic preamps." Maybe I'm missing something????????
Well I just recieved it today...off to go crack it open! :) It better be a good one Bruce because I just spent my hard-earned...oh nevermind it was a gift... :D
By the way...Bruce, you recommended a book with "THOSE" monitors on the cover?????? ;)
I'm just going to assume that you are talking about a windscreen that fits over the "ball" or "grill" of the mic, yes? What you need is a pop filter. Do a search and see what you come up with. Get out yer pantyhose and clothes hangers!!!!!!! :)
My father recently gave me some Cerwin-Vega "home theater" type speakers that are about 30 years old. The speakers basically crumbled to the touch (only touched them because they were already blown.) The tweets seem to be fine but the woofers need to be replaced. So were can I buy new woofers...
Here's a few I ran across at a different forum.

Well that's sort of what I was getting at, I don't think there's a way to play multiple pads in the C/D bank! You could play a mono pad from the C/D bank and a mono pad from the A/B bank but that's about it! Limitations, limitations! :(
