I thought I would ask how other people compose songs?? the way I do it(I play guitar) I will write down the lyrics, then pick the guitar and start strumming and see what works,its very rare that I have a melody beforehand. Is that wrong? what works for you??

I was wondering if there is a digital eight track on the market with individual I/o for each track?. The reason being, it would be much easier on me to have full control of each track on playback, or as I'm ready to mix.I'll be able to see the whole picture if you know what I mean.I also assume...

I know its not digital but, I have a tascam mf-po1 4-track and its pretty cool. I run it through my yamaha mixer and burn to cd, it actually sounds half decent. Though when I get more money and experience quality will be a must.

Its an electric. I decided to mic my amp( gxl2200) I only did it one time and am not real happy, but I will try different things.I like the mic for vocals, but am not sure on the amp yet.

What about electronics?? I sometimes keep my mixer, amp and fourtrack in my car overnight if I am really beat. Will the cold winter temps hurt them??( of course I live in a good area) I always have enough energy to grab my guitar though.

Can anyone tell me the difference in the 440 441 442 443 calibration. I dont understand the reason behind changing the tuning from standerd 440.

The best way to beef up your sound is to record them on more than one track, for instince try laying down your guitar on track 1 and 2 at the same time(it really adds dimension)

Dude, by her an ibanez. you cant go wrong, there cheap and they sound great. If she ends up not playing the thing later down the road sell it. If you look in the paper all you see is Ibanez guitars for sale( not meaning there junk) there just a popular name and easy to sell.

interesting question try this,go to your nearest studio and ask them the same question, for a few bucks they might let you hear some guitar tracks from some unknown band(you didnt specify an already famous band or just some band thats gigging).

I know what delay is as far as the pedal goes, but I saw this little box with actual recording tape inside it(of course) it said" lasts alot of hours" what do they mean? does the effect just stop?I would hope not it costs about 1,000.00. Also is it for recording or live sound?

different tunings also open your mind up to different ideas if you write your own music. I believe that if it works well on your guitar and your not having any problems keeping it in standard tuning have fun,every guitar is different.
