Yes , I hear it when I listen to it on other systems/car stereo....I think I need to address my monitor/roo. Situation a bit when mixing as I seem to over compensate for low end on all my stuff....ugh

Thanks for the tips, I did pull in the panning on the lead vocals, and laso did exactly what you suggest on bass, low shelf cut at 180 hz, -2db. I think its much "cleaner " sounding now on both accounts (vocals, and bass guitar). As always, I appreciate your feedback and tips! Here is a link...

I always dug this on the 1984 album, wished Van Halen would have done more darker heavier things like this instead of crappy covers like Pretty Women which this goes into on the album. Anyways, I dig your version, especially the guitar tones...nice and crisp , bass sounds great when it kicks in...
