    locking tuners

Not exactly true. You want the strings either to slip frictionlessly through the nut or not to slip at all, especially if you have a tremelo bridge.

So I got my guitar set up...

Before you start mucking about with the intonation or going back to your tech for a re-setup, tune it to Eb and see if it makes a difference to you.

    Strange RFI(?) phenomenon

I have a similar situation in my studio. It's hum, not hiss, but it's directional. In my case, it's a set of medium level electrical distribution lines that run overhead up the side of my property that is the culprit. Shielding (either guitars or the room) probably won't help. Using...

LED's inside a amp head, reasons why not?

The lighting in my studio is an assortment of Christmas lights, low wattage par cans and clip lights pointed at the ceiling, and table lamps. The ceiling light only comes on when I'm looking for something. Why is everydamnthing we musicians have BLACK???

    Fret Buzz Diagnosis

Look at that fret; it's probably cupped. Playing lots of G chords will take a divot out of the third fret where the E string hits it.

    Weird Wiring Issue...

I think you can tell by placing the pickups face to face. If they repel, they have the same magnetic polarity, and if they attract, not.

To split or not to split?

I vote for leaving it as is. There's not that much traffic.

Using a regular amp as a slave

On the only amp I've played around with that had a series FX loop, the lockout jack was on the return, not on the send.

Using a regular amp as a slave

I think that we've told you more than once all the different ways that there are to play through multiple amps.

    Weird Wiring Issue...

Well then, it appears that both your single coil pickups may be RWRP.

Using a regular amp as a slave

With "regular" guitar amps and no other equipment, you can't. Slaving doesn't mean just playing through two amps, it means that both amps respond to the controls on the master amp. With two amps with effects loops, you can probably take the send of one and connect to the receive of the other...

Using a regular amp as a slave

The easiest way to do this would be to get an A/B/Y box or some sort of stereo stompbox and go into the front of both amps.

    Weird Wiring Issue...

Yes. It's not the wiring; your pickups are alike. In order to have hum canceling with two single coil pickups, one of them needs to be RWRP (reverse wound and reverse polarity). The reverse winding makes the hum cancel when they are both on, but the reverse (magnetic) polarity makes the RWRP...

    What gauge strings?

Well, yes; I tried a lot of alternatives and those (11's for electric, 12's for acoustic) are what I have settled on. As you say, lighter gauge strings are easier to pull sharp over the frets but easier to bend on purpose, while heavier strings have a meatier sound to my ears and enable lower...

11's for my electrics, 12's for my acoustics.

    High end

You weren't expecting the speaker cable to make a difference to the tone, were you? The reason you don't use instrument cables to drive speakers is that they aren't designed to carry high voltages and can short out and damage your amp.

    Ohms, Ohms, Ohms!

You could, but the two outputs of the amp are just parallel connections. You might as well just rewire the cab so that the 4 16 ohm drivers are all in parallel; that would make it a 4 ohm cab. You don't need two speaker cables. IMPORTANT: You need to be absolutely sure that his amp can handle...

My guitar is driving me f**king CRAZY!!

Of course it can; no one said otherwise. He said that a setup won't help you play a fretless in tune.
