    Song Temp?

I personally think tempo changes aren't used enough let alone to good effect. You know...does it SOUND right to you that way? Because at the end of it, that's still all that matters.

    Fundamental Stomp Boxes.......

This thread rules. At the risk of sounding like some purist dork (of which I am not), I don't really get any sound I may have with pedals, with the exception of a basic Boss delay for the occasional effect, which is certainly not crucial. A couple high ranking favorite players of mine are...

    Alesis Micron??

I've had mine for a few months and from what I can tell, it's solid as hell. I love the size, I love a lot of the tones. The only thing I don't like is the tiny ass screen you have to navigate to get deep into the thing. It's par for the course with something that size, but oh well. Long...

    Understanding EQ's

Related or not, I just got the URS plugs and they absolutely rule. The eq's and comps are equally fantastic. Lightweight on CPU too.

    Right On Bob!

Wow. Yeah, they are indeed cooky. I like them as a band, but not as much as I like the way their studio recordings sound. It's analog heaven.

    whoa...bad latency in 6.0

Usually that should work. Yeah Acid 6.0 absolutely rules. It finally does everything I always wanted it to be able to do.

    whoa...bad latency in 6.0

It's in the preferences somewhere. Perhaps, take a look under the 'Audio' heading of that window.

    Using Plugins In Acid

Make sure you refresh the VST's in the window that Cello spoke of. Usually it's a button marked "Refresh".

    whoa...bad latency in 6.0

Double check your audio driver selections in the Preferences section. It might not be set correctly. I had a slight latency problem on re-installation, and it turned out that it wanted to use outdated drivers that were in my system. Also, somewhere on your preference page, there's an area...

    ibanez theory....

Nah, Ibanez rules, that's just all there is to it. I'm sick of hearing the sporatic guitar geeks poo poo on them over the years. I've owned all the classic good guitars, and Ibanez is still my favorite to play....that goes for pretty much all types of playing as well....not just metal.

Using the same voice for melody and harmony

It's basic, but it's real helpful. If you're gonna use the same voice, experiment with switching out some gear.

MXL 603 vs. MXL 991 for overheads

If you're going to be using them for overheads, yes, you should definately have a stereo pair. The 603's are pretty alright for the money. I can't think of a pencil condenser in that price range that sounds as good. Personally, I'd save some more bucks and step into a better quality mic overall.
