Cheers, I'll have a look at what I can do, this is only drums, two guitar tracks, one bass track and a dual vocal. Nothing is chopped up. So it should be an easy one to practice my mixing with. I do seem to have reached the end of my ability with this mixing bollocks for now though, not sure...

Cheers Greg, i did plan to make it a bit faster and to full scream the vocal, but when I realised how bloody high it was the screaming went out of the window. Right, I bassed the drums on the original, not sure how I could beef them up.. I've never tried EQ on drums, this could be a good time...

Weird that init. I couldn't get the hats much lower with the cymbals disappearing, and putting the snare up much more it was getting really intrusive. I'll have a fiddle with it tomorrow.

Cheers Ray, I don't have a prayer of playing bass with my fingers. Didn't think of trying chorus, just used my usual(ish) tone. It's a little faster than the original, not as much as I originally planned though.

Not much to say other this sounds cool as fuck - sounds really "live". The vocal is possibly a tiny bit loud and there's something in there that's a little harsh on the ear - I can't tell you what it is though, maybe someone else will spot it and give you more specifics - or maybe I just have...

Mate, don't think rap will get a great deal of feedback in here but I think this is pretty cool, albeit short! Particularly like the way that the backing is doubled saying "Bipolar" with loads of reverb

Ray, finally listening to this on a decent set of headphones. I thhnk I prefer this idea but the guitars are too quiet now, seems like you've left the individual ones at the volume they were at... either that or they've got some weird reverb on them in comparisson to the bass and drums. OK...

Yeah, it certainly sounds like there's a lot playing! Why not thin it out a bit, so if you were only going to have two guitars one of them would stick to the basics but one of them would be trying all of the different chord voicings from your three different versions, but working through them...

Ray, I think they all sound better than any previous versions of this. I think my personal favourite was the third one - you seemed to be doing a bit less on the rhythm playing during the intro and letting the guitars ring out a bit more. I do like the guitar tone though - how many do you have...

Cheers, Ray. I think I said earlier - I'm not trying to do this one to death. That first riff was just stuck under my fingers and I had to work out the chords to go with it 'cos it was annoying me. Aside from that first riff it was all very adlibbed anyway.

It is indeed a bit lazy and rambling.

The LED halos are pretty nice. They're a nice visual way of getting yourself in the right zone when recording in a home environment. Its definitely worth considering if you're going to recording heavy guitars though.
