Which Strings For A Gibson J45

gutten morgen, dude. It is a really nice looking guitar. I'm not an acoustic guitarist but I do know what you mean about having to buy the guitar that you've always wanted, pity it didn't turn out the way you'd hoped. I've always been after a telecaster, I just love them for some reason, but...

    Unusual heat/humidity question

I do get a lot of temperature variation in my house, particularly in winter. It's bloody freezing in the morning and stuff. So if I'm gonna play and record I'll tune up, play a while as the guitar warms up, then tune again as it comes into equilibrium with the room. Suppose it's just something...

    Unusual heat/humidity question

Out summers are just kind of warm/mild. We don't get a baking hot dry heat and our winters on usually cold, damp and mild.. but we do get it frequently dropping below freezing at night and usually a 1 or 2 small snows every year.. snow on the beach is always weird.

Still sounds pretty nasty, Bob. Hope it all goes off without any problems. You'll make an excellent Man-Slave

    Unusual heat/humidity question

I don't think my Celtic skin would cope down there very well. I'm off to the Carribean this December, I'll have to take a few litres of sun-cream.

    Unusual heat/humidity question

My house has two small (by USA standards) living rooms. One of which is my guitar/music room. They both have hideous old fire places, neither of which has a fire anymore. But I'm thinking of sticking log burning stoves in them both. Should keep the whole house pretty warm, be carbon neutral and...

liv, that generally sounds pretty good. Cool riff and a good idea. There's a little bit of noise coming through on the left guitar which you might want to try and gate - not much though. The guitars work well together but when the left guitar starts playing the lower chords - first happens at...

Bob, hope your wife is OK. But, speaking of colons, I've had horrendous food poisoning for the later half of the week which is why I've not been on here - My colon, along with the rest of my intestines is completely empty!  Starting trying to play the guitar again today and its...

    Guitar Multi Effects Floor Processor?

My expertise with multi effects is pretty dated so take what I say with a pinch of salt. Being a terminal guitar wanker and widdler I find I get option paralysis when I have access to that much stuff, I'm the same with amp sims. I just sit there fucking about with different tones and adjusting...

    Chinese pedals

I've got loads of Chinese crap cos I'm tight fisted. Mooer - I have the Echolizer analogue delay, it's ok going into the front of the amp but sounds a bit fishtanky when you use anything other than a totally clean tone. Nothing wrong with it when in the loop. I also have the Mooer Trelicopter...

    Mexican Teles

Yeah, the 52 had a neck like a bat, little frets and really sticky lacquer on the neck. It also had that weird low pass filter on the neck pickup. I totally get that people want to our a classic replica, I think those old blackguards look cool, but for me their just way to compromised when it...

Caravan and camping holidays are really popular in the UK and all over Europe actually. I've not stayed in that park 'cos its about a mile from my house but I've stayed in a few others recently and stayed on a campsite a couple of times over the summer.
