That's a nice sounding rhythm guitar! But it is too loud I think definately. It's a great song, and nice vocal. I think that guitar could come down during parts where the vocals happening, like a ducker would be perfect (sidechain compressor). Great stuff!

The vocal is just excellent! It detracts from the back vocals a bit near the start how that effecty guitar is mixed with them.. When the song starts with the drums, the drums sound kind of thin and over compressed.. The song sounds too compressed overall.. Great lead guitar playing! Kind of...

Yeah they don't really go together, just 3 songs I wanted to record. Halfway through I went "this is stupid and pointless.." but it was too late to turn back!! :eek:

Going West, I too thought the backwards thing got old fast. Then the drums came in and I thought, "oh a drum loop, he didn't create his own drums.." Then the acoustic on the right seemed too upfront and dry. It got better though the further it went, good guitar sounds and nice voice. Too bad...

Wow thanks for the great comments! The drums are EZ drummer and the organ is Native Instruments B4. The guitars are an Ibanez AF75 with TV Jones pickups on the left, and my Squier JV Strat for the lead and lead fills.

Actually my first impression is that the bass is too up front, I find it kind of distracting. And the mix is a bit dry.. though I realize reverb was outlawed in the early 90s :D . Nice bv's, needs some kind of pad maybe, synth or organ to make it flow more. But that's just my style. Overall...

Hmm.. "joie de vivre".. that might be a good title! As long as it doesn't mean "pile of s**t".. :D
