    ACMP-81 hum sounds

    I did not notice any drop in volume when moving the ribbon cable away from the transformer. I did however notice that moving the transformer did reduce the hiss/hum a bit. However when I rotated it back to the original position the reduction stayed. Perhaps there is/ was a loose wire?

    thanks crazy doc, I noticed there is a Q4 and Q5 on board number 2, so 2Q4 and 2Q5 wasn't sure if those needed changed to If I engage the EQ and turn the Output Gain "far right" the whole way up I get some hiss/hum, If I turn it mid-way up, I can hear a slight bit of hum/hiss however nothing...

    ADA8000 sounds very close to the Presonus. I bet you couldn't tell them apart if the limiter on the famous presonus wasn't used. Thanks a bunch! I'll check out that stuff

    Just making sure I understand, you are recommending using the World Clock Coax cable and to Take the Digi 003 Word Clock output and connect to MPA Word Clock In, Then take the MPA Word Clock out and connect to ADA Word Clock in, then Connect ADA Word Clock out and connect to Digi 003 Word Clock in?

    I dig triple tracked vocals on hip hop and panned around -25 0 and 25 Also sometimes I mult-tap stereo delay or 15 IPS tape delay

    If limited to 2 effects to mix, what would you choose?

    EQ and Compression. I could use the room as natural verb, which I prefer anyways. And there are tons of ways to get "delay" then using a processor.

    Clean and dirty guitars, everywhere in between and the extremes. What I'm noticing in my mixes, is that the guitar really seems to be about the 500hz, 1k, 4k range. I'll take out below 100 and maybe take a little out of 250, but it really seems those other frequencies are what make it sound...

    Condenser for guitar amps

    I am looking for a condenser microphone to use with guitar amps. I've been using some combination of the following for my guitar sounds. SM57, SM57beta, KCM-25 ribbon, Rode NT1-a(room mic) I haven't been able to get a good sound out of the nt1-a while right on the amp. Any suggestions.

    I feel like I needed to use less EQ in terms of db's and less compression. They have that killer grindy console sound. I love it. Great Plugins
