for the most part no.
most services run by default as a machine account.
however you can specify things like startup items, "adjust for best performance" etc as a per user setting.
what would be easier though would be to write a batch script to stop all the windows servers you don't want to...
I am using pro tools 8 LE.
I have several audio tracks that follow the snare drum.
The snare drum has the proper timing that I want, however I also have a wood block, tambourine and 2 tracks of hand claps that were all recorded to be on time with the snare drum.
for the most part they are on...
please don't insult my computer knoweldge unless you too have a CCNA and a MSCE after your name.
there were many many faults in previous version. as well is there are some physical memory addressing issues in pro tools 8. multi-threading/multi-core support finally seems correct though.
looks...
I have some f10s and f12s.
they suck on kicks....they just don't sound like the drum
kind of flubby
great tom mics though
they pick up the texture of a tom head really well.
go with any or all of the following; d12, d112, re-20, SM7, MD421; U47fet
the most focused and purest method i've found is 2 SDC placed in XY around the 12th fret area with a LDC or Ribbon mic placed in between then the spaced pair with all the mics 6-12 inches away from the guitar
Watch for phase issues.
as far as brand and model of mic, that's your call, however...
agreed, when I'm working in higher budget studios, we almost always go this route.
There's nothing like 2 inch tape and drums. Tape seems to have a deeper depth of field as well.
I agree, I'd like to replace the 2 channels of berhinger tube pre and compressor with some combination of the
Universal Audio 610,
Universal Audio 710
Avalon U5
Summit Audio TLA-50
DBX 160a
I'd also like to grab a 2 API pre amps.
I am now able to max out all 18 channels of my pro tools rig...
I've don't get NS10s
I never could hear detail in them. They don't seem to share an actual representation of space. They are nowhere close to "full range"
I woofers always sounded very "textured" to me.
Like I was hearing more of the NS10 woofer, very papier
Hello,
I wanted to list my current studio/live gear and I would like everyone's opinion on where to upgrade.
I know the way rooms are tuned have a lot to do with recording, but lets put rooms aside, as my room is being remodeled next week
I want to start to purchase higher level gear and get...
does anyone know what the second firewire port is for on the digi 003 rack?
can i plug a firewire hard drive directly into that port and use to the drive to record on?
Jackson is responsible for formulated pop. (Backstreet Boys, Brittany Spears, New Kids on the Block, Miley Cirus, American Idol)
That being said, Thriller is good and that's why we all own SM7s
I may have to take my NT1's apart too.
I have used them on Ride cymbals before and they worked well.
Also has a room mic for guitar amps.
on that's about it.
