if you charge too high, nobody will come. if you do it for free, everyone will come (unless you just really suck). there isn't a specific price that we can tell you, especially only knowing your equipment. you'll have to find out that figure yourself based on how many bands need to record...
SM57's are cheap and can be good on snare and toms. MD421's are popular tom mics, but a little more costly. as far as overheads, i don't know much about the NT5's, but i would definitely stay away from the C1000S mics. i personally like the D112 on kick.
are there any mics that you already...
out of the three you mentioned, definitely go with the AT3035. i've had very good personal experiences with that mic. but i do recommend that you check out more mics before you decide to purchase.
I need to buy TRS cables to run from my preamps to my Delta 1010. I have a fairly limited budget. And I'm wondering, considering the length will only be about 3 feet, if I need to spend $25/cable for a higher quality cable. Or, could I just spend $6/cable for a Hosa cable and get similar...
I've seen someone sell a used Neumann TLM103 to Guitar Center. I don't see why you couldn't return the AT3035. That was almost a year ago though. Maybe they've changed their policies since then.
As far as single channels go, it would be a safe bet to go with the Tampa. It can be found for $328 at

At that price, this one is VERY hard to beat.
You're right...the Tampa truely is a great pre for the price. But, it doesn't have two channels. You should definitely look into the FMR RNP. I think it's a little more than $400, but it's definitely well worth it and I'm sure you wouldn't be disappointed. You won't get many two-channel...
just make sure that he doesn't clip. and if you're using a DAW, you could easily go in and manually increase the levels of his quieter passages to make them more consistent with the louder ones.
Like Kylen, I was also pleasantly surprised with Jason Mraz's "Mr. A-Z". Everything in the album sounds so clear.
Incubus's "Morning View" is another great sounding album in my opinion.
And I also love the sound of "Animosity" from Sevendust.
