    irritating high pitch female voice

Basically, I like the sound of her voice. I do think, however, that there's quite a difference in the way she produces her voice; the lower note G, for example, is produced perfectly. If she could produce the rest of her vocal range in the same way, I don't think you'd have a problem.

    Midi/USB?

Hi all, Ok, so I've just disconnected the Midi cables between my keyboard and audio interface and it seems to have made no difference to the way the keyboard interacts with the PC [Cubase SL3] . At the risk of sounding really thick, am I right in thinking the USB cable which I've also had...

    Compressor Review

Thanks, mixsit. Having taken on board what's been said, yesterday, using the SM58, I recorded and played back 'dry'. By experimenting with different preamp and AD levels, and creating an improved room EQ, which meant I could stay further from the mic, so avoiding that Shure 'even horizon', I...

    Compressor Review

Hey, thanks for the input, mixsit, Think maybe I should have posted this in the newbie section, though I did notice how the MB-5 deals with the proximity effect. Rather a little more mic technique when using the SM58 ? Cheers. Kj

    Preamp Experiment

JS,[MM] Please forgive me if this sounds a bit newbish, but does that mean in the chain I described:- SM58 / AT3525 > RNP > ADC1 Benchmark > Edirol UA-101 > Cubase SL3/ Windows 7, there would be no advantage ,in terms of recording quality, to include the BR1200 ? Thanks. Keith

    Preamp Experiment

Many thanks ,MM. I'd quit using the BOSS some time ago [before I had the RNP] because I hadn't been overly impressed with the quality of the vocal recordings [of which none now exist]. Having just used it with the preamp, however, I was impressed. Thanks for confirming that the increase in...

    Preamp Experiment

Hi all, I wonder if anyone knows if there's any point in my preamping a BR 1200CD Daw with my RNP? Theoretically is there any reason why the quality of the recording should be better than without? Cheers! Kj

    Compatability issue.

Hi folks, I wonder if anyone can help. I've just had to buy a new PC - Windows 7, 64bit. I am currently running Cubase SL 3, which I managed to transfer from my old Windows XP. The question is, should I expect compatability issues? Should I buy a newer prog? Any advice would be appreciated. Keith
