    Phantoms

My first in a LONG time. My debut on electric lead violin(which sounds just like my lead guitar, not sure what the point of that is) Mix advice appreciated, but probably not acted on, as I am so sick of this song! http://www.soundclick.com/bands/default.cfm?bandID=829394&content=music

    Difficulty identifying 12" Eminence

I have an old Soundcity 4x12 cab (I believe an L140 or B140). It's got 1 12" Altec Lansing and 3 other 12"s. The have square magnets and the following # stamped to the frames:KPGH16AX-677444 Google helped me narrow it down to Eminence, manufactured in the 44th week of '74. I've not been able to...

Rate amp modellers for home recording

I like the jcm900 plug A LOT! I think it's damn useful, especially for freeware! Having said that, I am NOT trying to get an authentic simulation of a particular amp. I'm just trying to get a decent guitar sound in the hard rock/heavy metal style.

    Sail Away - Llarion Mix

An act of goodwill. An honest critique. A bit reverby all around to me. Nothing horrible, just a bit overly processed sounding. Same with the chorus on the guitar. Just a hair too much. I really dig the drum track.I think the mix should largely be built around them. Well played and recorded...
