    Mid Hi Freqüency...

WinAmp (a popular MP3 player that also palys WAVs and audio CDs) has a rather nice spectrum analyzer which is adjustable. (refresh rate, falloff, etc.) It can also be changed to an oscilloscope. Isaiah

    Got the V67G ... & Question about 603

...I myself have been wondering what the "603" stands for... Maybe these numbers and letters were just pulled out of a hat by the marketing dept. at Marshall Electronics...:p Isaiah

    New Tascam gear-must see

Boy, that is one strange looking piece of gear...almost like something from the dashboard of the Starship Enterprise... Personally, the new Yamaha AW4416 is much more appealing to me..automated faders and all, and it doesn't look as bulky. :D Isaiah

Under The Hood - Inside the Marshall V67G and the Studio Projects C1

Alan's last message became a double post....how odd... how'd that happen? Isaiah

The Big gap between The pro studio and your Bedroom. Audio Examples

Gosh, the bedroom one sounded much more pleasant to me... it just had more "life," for lack of a better term. Isaiah

    A bottom feeder mic shootout . . . right here . . . right now!

I am only an amateur, so my opinion may not really mean anything, but this was my impression of the mics: The V67 and the MXL2001 sounded fairly similar, except the V67 struck me as having a somewhat "bigger" sound, for lack of a better term. The MXL2001 seemed a little thinner and...

Who is this Harvey Gerst jerk and why should I listen to anything he says?

Ahead Nero 5.x has a fantastic (and FAST) MP3 encoder that's easy to use and provides superb results. http://www.ahead.de Isaiah

Who is this Harvey Gerst jerk and why should I listen to anything he says?

Whoaaah there...I don't think we're getting the full picture. Those MP3s are only 64kbps. I think they should be at least 112kbps for us to really hear it correctly...maybe I'm just a whiner, but I know they must sound better than that. Isaiah

Anyone tried one of these? - Studio Projects C1

I wasn't able to play the sample recordings from that review... kinda weird that they used WAV instead of MP3, too. Isaiah

Anyone tried one of these? - Studio Projects C1

I just spotted this interesting line of mics in my latest Full Compass catalog. If I have any complaints on it so far, it's the butt-ugly logo. :p They should have someone design a really nifty logo like Neumann, AT and other such brands. (Maybe I should apply...I've done logos for a few...

    The wonderful "ROOM" sound

Pickups are good for a really "clean" guitar sound... I think if you wanted a (forgive me) "warmer," more mellow and open sound, you will most likely have to put a mic on it. You could pan the pickups hard left, and put a mic on the the right..or vice versa for an interesting effect...

Marshall V67 having a bad hair day. ON tape

Sweet mother of Jesse Jackson! I gotta get me one of those mics! That was stunning...makes my AT look even worse by comparison...dang! I always have to cut some of the mids on mine. OK, next on my list: v67g, new preamp, compressor, and Lexicon reverb... (dunno why I mentioned those other 3...

Really?? I didn't know that Five Foot Thick was so popular. I get their newsletter thingy in my email all the time, and I know the engineer as well. (that's how I got hooked up with them, sorta) But I haven't heard any of their music or anything...kind of shameful. I'm just not easily...

Marshall V67 having a bad hair day. ON tape

What is "Waves RealVerb"? Is it a software plugin? Dang, but I really like that recording...beats the heck outta my AT3525, although the AT isn't necessarily a "bad" mic...probably just bad on my voice. Isaiah

    The wonderful "ROOM" sound

Sure thing, but it might be a while. I'm going to take up guitar as soon as I can afford one, and I also would like to buy a couple Marshall 603s...until then, I can't do much! :D Isaiah

    help with autotune

You're new here, aren't you? You usually can't just "crack" a program. If you can get a serial number for it, that would do it, but it depends on whether the software lets you. I wouldn't encourage it anyway.. Isaiah
