Anyhow, there's another solution. There are several companies that make FX loop stations that allow you to set up customized FX loops without having to run cable through each one. I'll see if I can find one and post a link.

Holy fuck, were you running all those pedals serially?

Are you powering your Boss pedals with wall warts? That can induce noise in the pedals. For recording run them off batteries instead. I don't know if that will cure the problem but it will help a little.

Thanks, that's good info. I've hesitated about doing an irreversible mod to my Strat, but the truth is that these models aren't exactly appreciating in value - in fact, they're not even holding value. (Bought mine in '91 for ~ $950, you can find 'em in great shape for ~ $700.)
