by the sound of it,it is possible that the kernel32.dll has become corrupted.unfortunately the only way to replace it is to either extract it from the cab file in windows or if its a custom version from cool edit to reinstall cool edit making sure to remove it when asked about it as a shared...

any time I have ever recorded anything really :) it seems that there is this extra amount of hiss or air in the background almost sounds like bias noise but I get it on digital as well,Im think that maybe im not getting a good s/n ratio???
