I used to use Cubase 5 and I remember there is place you have to go to select inputs, so that might be your problem is because you haven't told cubase to look for the keyboard

The cord itself does not have an in and out side but your interface and keyboard should have specific ones for in and out

For me it is mostly the high frequencies that are driving me crazy. They sound to present and harsh. I have tried messing with EQ but nothing can fix it. I will add some more reverb and make it more stereo. Thanks for giving me some advice.

I don't think you have enough bass :). But ya I agree maybe a little too much drums, turn them down a little bit and I think it will be perfect and still give you that in your face drums.

I would definitely have to say the SM57. And I actually did record a song with a few 57's once and it turned out pretty good.
