i must be missing something. why can't you put 20 seconds of silence before the click starts? or 40 seconds? or more?

why can't you just hit record and walk over to the kit and start playing? if you have a pre-programmed click track, give yourself adequate time before the start.

you just need to point reaper to the folder that those vst's are in. do you know how to do that? it's simple.
