I can buy used(post 70's) American strats all day long for way under what people paid for them, but they deffinately hold their value better than MIK MIMS. This isnt the arguement.... a strat made by fender, regardless of origin, is still a real strat!
Take a good whiff of your tuners, pots, bridge assembly, and PuPs(?) on that REAL AMERICAN GUITAR...... if ya dont smell the sweat of Asian children or water from the Rio Grande, ya might want to get your nose checked! :)
In my days as a Fender dealer, I saw plenty on USAs that had MAJOR setup issues, and plenty of mexis that simply killed. PuP replacement and a GOOD setup on a nice Mexi will gitchooo fahhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!
Nice guitbox! Great PuPs too!!!!
Do yourself a favor and do some research about how to keep the Floyd set up properly. Too much of a pain in the ass for me to deal with, but a blast to play.
YUP! And vice versa. Used to go slumming at this dirt ball blues joint in the projects of Kansas City, I was constantly amazed by the tone these guys got....... upon closer inspection, they all used the house amp which was a crappy fender solid state... Princeton Chorus?
As far as the clean...
Istead of spending 6 mill on the guitar...... a true philanthripist/saint should by a RJ box set for every kid that thinks Zepelin, SRV, Clapton invented the blues! Would be a great gift to society! :)
Not sure where collinsville is, but theres a GC in OKC and Tulsa...... deffinately worth the trip for that kind of investment. If ya do order online, make sure there is a return policy and find out how much shipping you will eat if you hate it.
