I don't like hamming it unless it's something like screaming vocals or something really dynamic like that. Unless you know what you want and how to get there with the compressor, I wouldn't do it, cuz otherwise you're stuck with it.

Tough choice indeed, It's really a toss-up between my first three choices but if I had to put it in order it would be as follows: 1. mix 2 -clear and balanced 2. mix 5 -very smooth with good depth 3. mix 4 -good balance but a bit bassy 4. mix 1 -too much high bass/low mids but it kind of works...

Finally got a chance to do it, glad I didn't miss the deadline. Still, I might upload another because I haven't checked this one on anything but my monitors. I had a lot of trouble with the bass. Anyway, hope you like my mix. And nice song by the way, I really liked the vocal harmonies.

Oh, I thought you just wanted the sound to come out of your computer speakers. But yes, set the soundcard to the tascam and you should be able to use headphones through it. Just plug them into the headphone out and there should be a 'input/computer' knob on the tascam, turn it to the 'computer'...

I'm not familiar with cubase but you should be able to go to your ins and outs or your audio options and change your output from the tascam to your computer's soundcard. Or get some speakers and plug them into the tascam.

I don't think it should. I believe only ribbon mics can be damaged by phantom power
