I apologize for bringing this thread back up but my noobness tends to make me ask more questions. So so far I'm considering the krk rockit 5's, or I'm going to save up for much better ones. But I got this Once in a lifetime deal on "event 20 20". I read up on these but I thought I'd ask you guys
Yeah, at the moment the 5's or M-audio Bx5a are all i can afford. Telling me to save up and then get better monitors is easier said then done for me because I want to start learning :O
Thank you all for the reply's! I learned some new stuff. I was so focused that if i bought decent monitors to start out with ( KRK Rockit 5) then my mixes would sound decent, but I thought id ask before i bought them.... Which was a very smart choice.. Thanks!
My question is, If you mix/master on very good studio monitors, will the playback sound good on most speakers? Heres what I mean, When bands let out cd's, (generally) pretty much on anything you listen to it on, the sound quality is decent. So back to my question

If your looking for a Extremey basic program just to record and play back just go with audacity. Doesn't seem like you need anything bigger like cubase/abelton/ etc.
