    Guitar String Tension after restringing

If you had been using, say .12's, and then went to .10's it would indeed feel like there was more tension on the .10's. because the neck relief had been set-up for the tension of 12's., not .10's. There would indeed be more tension felt on the .10's..

Record Direct Guitars, analog pedal w/ IR

Was just wondering. Read pretty good things about the Webers. Are satisfied with the tones you're getting?

    Guitar String Tension after restringing

I'm no expert by any stretch of the imagination, but on an acoustic guitar there would definitely be a difference in the amount of tension felt. Enough to literally snap the strings into? No, but enough to make one think they might! LOL! Do you know what strings are recommended for that...

    Guitar String Tension after restringing

I didn't mean to imply that by not adjusting the truss rod that the strings would literally snap into! LOL!

You might also check out the MIM Fender Jazzmasters with the P-90 type pickups. You can pick them off EBay for around three hundred bucks.

    Guitar String Tension after restringing

You may have to adjust your truss rod a little. It may be too stiff to give the lighter gauge strings the relief they need. I've never used light gauge strings but know several people who do and they had to make neck adjustments. BB King and Billy Gibbons are both users of light gauge strings.

There is now a company that will pay shipping both ways. This way you can play the guitar on your own amp. And if you don't like it just send it back. Here is the link: MusicStoreLive.com. Save up some more and get yourself a real Les Paul!

Guitar isocab for cheapskates and amateurs.

The best sounding Celestion I've ever heard is the Celestion T-652. They sound great! Same ones that came with the Marshall JTM-45 combo back in 1964. They're costly and hard to find, but worth every penny IMHO.

It's off topic, but I just downloaded something called the UltraChannel by Eventide that you also have to have the I-Lok system for. Got it for free but they claim that after July 8 you'll have to pay $249.00 for it. Being as I used to own some of their products I downloaded it. Anyone else get it?

Have you thought about an iso-cab? I've never used one and have no idea about how well or not well they work. One amp is definitely pushing it when it comes to good relations with your neighbors! LOL!
