    What do you think?

I had planned on buying a Neve Portico, as I love the way a never sounds, and I'll take everyone's advice, and come back in a day or so, and show a different list, after I talk with my partner, and we'll see what's up. Thanks for the suggestions.

    What are my best options?

If you are using PC, you can look into the RME Fireface 800, or Motu 192HD, both have great quality. If your using MAC, the only way I'd go, is Metric Halo, which has excellent quality, and some kick ass pre's.

I appreciate the feedback. Yea, the Audix is favored over the CAD, but the cad was a freebie, so I can't complain. As for effects, I have Waves Diamond, and every other waves plug-in out there. I haven't had too much experience recording a band, as I mainly stayed with vocals before, thus the...

    Best Audio Interface?

This would depend on rather you want PCIMIA or Firewire. If the first, go with the E-Mu 1616M, you won't find a better interface for the money. If firewire, this depends on your budget...however. RME Fireface Motu Traveler Those are some I would seriously look into.

    do your ears ring 24-7?

Nope, never had ringing in my ears. I monitor at a decent level, and take breaks away from the mix for an hour at a time, to let my ears rest, and re-adjust to normal noise. No ringing yet.

I agree ^, however, instead og the AKG, the ADK TL is a mic, which IMO sounds better than the 414.
