Sorry boys, as soon as I posted I knew I'd left soemthing out! The middle pickup is RW/RP which is why I'm so confused. I've been chopping and changing though and am using a Gibson Humbucker, Texas Special in the middle and generic Texas Special knock-off in the neck.

I think they work very well as described, but I think the name is a little confusing; I would have expected something hotter and more vintage-sounding but they have a comparatively lower output to other humbuckers and clean up really well. This is in keeping with how Tim @ BKP described them...
