    Saving files

So true, and thankfully, REAPER has it's "copy to project directory" and "move to project directory" options when you're saving. The files you're seeing are the .wav files of the recordings, the .reapeaks files which are a graphical representation of your waveform, and the .RPP REAPER project...

    SONAR > REAPER switch.

Have a look at this :) http://www.reaper.fm/technical.php I would say they're just as good as (if not better than) the "other daw's" included plugins. The only thing REAPER doesn't include are virtual instruments, other than ReaSynth and ReaSynDR. You can even write your own plugins right...

    Anybody Using Bluenoise?

Hey I tried PMing you over at the official REAPER forums, but there wasn't a link...? Anyway, now that you have DrumCore, you should be able to search the web for some MIDI drum loops and save them to a folder on your hard drive. Now insert DrumCore on a track and load the MIDI files you want...

    Anybody Using Bluenoise?

Hmm... that is weird.. Maybe this is something you should bring to the REAPER forums. I'm out of ideas, unfortunately. They should be able better help you there. www.reaper.fm/forum.php I hope you get it figured out. Best of luck!

    Anybody Using Bluenoise?

Sure you can! You can drag and drop the loops from DrumCore's list into REAPER's track view. I would switch DrumCore to MIDI mode. It will make the drag+drop much faster and it'll sound more realistic when you adjust your projects BPM. Now do this: * File -> Project Settings (or Alt+Enter) *...

    Anybody Using Bluenoise?

Ok I gotcha. Then yes, the Cakewalk software has built-in drum loops. You should try this: http://www.meldaproduction.com/mdrummer/ or this: http://www.drumcore.com/TemplateMain.aspx?contentId=65 mdrummer is more of a "virtual drummer" and drumcore is another drum VSTi with built-in drum...

    Anybody Using Bluenoise?

Hey no problem. At least now you know how to automatically route multi-out VSTi's in REAPER ;) Really though, you don't have to do anything with a keyboard. REAPER has a built-in piano roll editor that allows you to insert notes anywhere you want. I also own Cakewalk's Studio Instruments. This...

    Anybody Using Bluenoise?

Ok I'm back. Everything seems to be working just fine here. In order to control the drum tracks individually, go to "Insert -> Virtual Instrument on new track." REAPER will then automatically create and route each track to a specific channel on the Bluenoise VST. (ie: track1 = MIDI, track2 =...

So I know this feature is there, but I can't figure it out.

Yeah, I wish they would have gone a little further "behind-the-scenes.." You can buy controller-to-usb adapters though, so you don't have to solder them yourself. I'm glad you found a way to get things working! :D

    Anybody Using Bluenoise?

Yep. That's the one I remember. I'm downloading it now to see if I can figure it out. :D

    Anybody Using Bluenoise?

Hmm.. I've used it in the past and it worked just fine for me. Can you give us a little detail on what you mean by "didn't work"? Also, I'm pretty sure the reason the file size is so big is because the wave files are packed into it (think of a zip file.) If I remember right, the .dll gets...

    Normalize to balance album?

Yep! You can set up ReaComp as a brick wall limiter. Otherwise, there are quite a few JS limiters. I lean towards eventhorizon2, but there are a lot of others. * Liteon/np1136peaklimiter * LOSER/masterLimiter * LOSER/MGA_JSLimiter * LOSER/SP1LimiterJS * Stillwell/eventhorizon *...

    Normalize to balance album?

I probably should have mentioned that normalizing just raises the highest peak to 0dBFS. It has nothing to do with consistent audio levels. Most burning software can normalize audio. If you want consistency, RMS is what you should be focusing on.

    Normalize to balance album?

Well, mastering isn't anything "simple." But if you're main goal is to just get a consistent level across all of your final mixes, a limiter on the master and an eye on the master's RMS value will get you there. I recommend using the K-Metering system for both mixing and mastering. Maybe...

    FL Studio and Reaper

You could create a track template. Set up your tracks the way you want them, then select them (ctrl + click or shift + click.) Right-click -> Save selected tracks as template. Now whenever you want to use your FL drums, you can use that template. Everything will be saved including routing, FX...

    Exporting Wav. Files to mp3?

Good idea. Actually, I already posted the link earlier in this thread ;) The 64-bit version of lame_enc.dll is attached to the first post in that thread on the REAPER forums. It's the same file I'm using here in my studio. I hope that helps!

    Exporting Wav. Files to mp3?

Yep, that's the file straight from my computer. I'll upload the 64-bit one here if you'd like. Otherwise, you can get it at the REAPER forums, in the 64-bit thread.

    Lag in the monitor. D:

Yeah I know what you mean. Presonus uses some nice preamps in their interfaces. I own a Firepod now. I'll be getting a StudioLive next year :D
