    Goodbye (original song)

Thank you anoopbal, You are probably right...I'm using Slate's drums and I love the sound that I used but it may be too "cold" for this song...actually I tested other sounds that were much more "warmer" but those sounds didn't seem right either....

    Goodbye (original song)

Thank you Mickster, I have to check that bass / kick / the entire bottom again. The bass sound is problematic as I was using upright bass (VI samples) and for some reason it's difficult to control if the levels are higher...

    It's alright

Ok, I did some level changes to Kick +, Snare -, Bass + and tried to tame some high freqs on gtr's. Any better now? Edit. It's the same link on my first post....

Thanks ZacharyMikel. It's worth to demo those tape emulations. For Slate's, you need to have iLok2.

    It's alright

Thank you PDP. I recorded this song in my home "bedroom studio" in the early 2000's using Logic 3 or 4, some cheap audio interface, Akg C3000..At the time, a friend of mine played the guitars, I did all the other stuff. For this new mix, I used the most of the original vocal tracks, some gtr's...

    It's alright

Thank you TripleM! This is exactly the kind of feedback that I need. To be honest, I was afraid that it's to "bassy", so this is good news:). And I will try to do something for the drums.

    It's alright

Thank you Jessica. I have to try using more delay on vocals, thanks for the tip:). The synth at :50 - I can't say about the style but it's definitely too loud. Goat?:) no, it should be "code" but as I'm not a native english speaker, anything is possible. I wonder why no one else has said...

Thanks ric3xrt and Btyre. Yes, those vocal were problematic; I've recorded those a long time ago and they were very, very bright and some part of the harshness is due to the vocalist at that time (me:)) - so I couldn't get rid of all the brightness now even though I tried to....yes and vocals...

Thanks David. I know what you mean. Vocals and most of the gtr's have been recorded more than 10 years ago so unfortunately there wasn't much I could do about those things:(

Thank you rayc. I believe you mean that delay on lead voc? If so, i've noticed it as well. So maybe I'll have to open that mix again...aargh :)
