IDK man, it seemed to clear my problems up, unless they just stemmed from a bad port, I've heard that some ports on pcs can be better than others. The only other thing I can think of is to try uninstalling and reinstalling the drivers. James

Yeah, I forgot about that one, had similiar problems with mine until I switched my mouse into the hub and gave my mobile pre its own port, no problems since. Of course he'll prolly never reply and we'll sit here wondering for the rest of our lives if he figured it out:rolleyes:

I can tell you that my Crate has been reliable as hell, though it is on Craigslist right now. I have heard some bad things about randalls reliability. I would recommend against the Behringer cab, though some may disagree with me---the jensens make it tempting. James

Gotcha dude, glad we cleared that up. Everybody, I don't know much about cabs seeing as I only ever owned one and now i go combos exclusively, but based on Rogues earlier assesment the Windsor seems to be a pretty good deal, and I've always had good experiences with Peavey.

Ok granted, wrong word usage. I meant I get considerably worse hum and the cables tend to short out much quicker. I can see the confusion there; yes i know what feedback is. James

I don't know about their regular cables, but they make decent patch cables for pedals, however the George L's are a step up if your looking at upgradin your pedal cables.
