    Anybody wanna play?

Slow blues is for the most part a lot of economical playing-a few notes can make the solo work and the pauses and sustained notes can work to your benefit, too. Keeping the notes in the minor key is something to try for as well and the A minor and the C major scale has the same notes and you...

    New Little Song

Great groove happening on the tune-especially the funky guitars. It sounds like a 1970's cop movie theme-like Shaft meets Hawaii 5-O! I can just imagine the car chase with your song playing along. Good stuff, keep it up!

    Anybody wanna play?

I had a blast jamming along to the Slow blues in Am, I will have to give the other jam tracks a go soon. Hey, hope you are having a great birthday SHEPPARDB!

New Drums - I'll Stand By You

Very nice, the lady can definitely sing that tune well. It's nice to hear a ballad where the singer can belt out the song without studio enhancements like auto tune (I hear way too much of that on the radio these days!) Good vocal. The new drums sound good, the snare seems a slight bit loud...

    Anybody wanna play?

I decided to join in on the slow blues-my version of sloppy blues is more like it...just a few takes. It's an Epiphone Les Paul Standard into the J-Station direct and a bit of reverb. SoundClick artist: Anfontan - For most of it I multitrack my music-its the easiest way for me. Though I have...

    drum test

Sounds pretty good to me heatmiser. Its a basic beat but it works well with the song's structure and that is the main concern. I think Jerry Garcia is really hiding out in your garage-I swear I heard him playing in the mix....

    Les Paul pickup switch relocation

I have a Gibson 'The Paul' from the late 1970's and the switch is located slightly under the stop tailpiece. Or you could try the position that an SG has located right above the 2 volume controls. The Paul- SG-

    Overtime morphing over time

I really do like that raw rocking quality of the cassette version, it has a nice fiery quality that gets to the point. Some of the later version seem to have quite a bit of compression-but it's been a well written & performed all through the processes.

    NGD - 12-string

Hmm, might have been something to do with the vodka--and I had just replaced the stock p'up in my Tele and I love to butcher-I mean modify my cheaper guitars..... and it was a nice pickup and I liked the 3 adjustments that a Tele bridge pickup can offer. The plastic plate can easily be...

    RIP Clarence Clemons

This caught me totally off guard last night, I didn't know about the stroke.:( He was such a crucial part of Sprinsteen's band, they will surely get a new sax player for the band-but no one can replace his presence and attitude!

Live Your Dreams - PoeticIntensity Original

There is a definite fullness on this mix that the last was lacking. The chorused guitar parts you added work well with the droning 5'ths that I laid down. Ray C might be correct about the start of the guitar solo though, it seems to need a bit more gain or a mid boost to drive it better. I...

    NGD-Les Paul Special copy

By the way, this is the guitar I used on the new Poetic Intensity song 'Live your dreams' for the guitar solo. He is quite an all around musician-Drums, Bass, Guitars & vocals on these tracks-give it a listen in the MP3 forum!!

Live Your Dreams - PoeticIntensity Original

That is pretty much what I did guitar zero, I used a J-Station for the guitar tracks-after a broken water pipe flooded the lower level of my house I only have room for direct recording. I used a Les Paul Special copy with P-90's so that took some of the edge off of the lead tracks as well...

    NGD-Les Paul Special copy

Thanks for dropping by and the comments bassbrad. The cheaper guitars are no longer the clunky instruments they where back when I started playing in the early 1970's.

Thanks Dan, P-90's are amazing pickups. I bought my Melody Maker with a single P-90 in the bridge position several years ago and saw the light when I cranked it up through a tube amp at a gig I played. WOW was all I could say........... I would have liked one in TV yellow as well but there...

    NGD - 12-string

It's great that you revived the 12 string and gave it a new life. Having a 12 string around is a good thing for recording, I made a temporary mounting plate for mine and installed a tele bridge pickup. Sounds nice in a mix of guitars. I had a Trump Les Paul copy when I was in high school, I...
