    Got A New Toy

Wow, that G&L looks great Milnoque-the hardware appears to be much more solid than a Fender Strat. I've never had a chance to try out a G&L, but I have never heard anything but good things about them. Congrats on the new guitar---and hope you have the best birthday ever... Tony

    martin guitars

I've had a Martin D-16 gloss top for 12 years and I think it sounds better every year. Some of the other members of my acoustic band have some great Martins-one recently got a D-28-and although I can definitely tell the sound and the feel difference I am very grateful for my D-16. They also...

Check out my awesome new stack....

Nice looking rig, I'm sure it will do some great recordings, too. I have a couple of 15 watt tube combos-but often they are a bit too loud. Congrats Armistice!

    Control guitar feedback pitch ?

On the Satriani song he is using a bit of vibrato but the pitch doesn't vary by much. I used to use a trick when playing loud with a rock band-I would hold a note with my right hand finger while it would feedback and the stretch the note using my right hand finger a few frets below the held...

Recording XLR Mic Issue & VST Plug In Help NEED ASAP!

I believe that what you need to do is to right click on the track and track properties will open up. In the middle is a stereo bar that will let you select right only or left only-choose 1 and you will have a mono track. Yeah, Cool Edit Pro is a great program-it has most of the same properties...

    Kramer Pacer Vintage 2011

Isn't the Pacer your #1 guitar and it's getting pretty worn? I think I recall you posting that you wanted to get a new one, maybe email the company to see if they might reissue one in black--that maple topped one sure looks sweet, though. If you can get one that feels right-and the money...

    Dammit!!!!!!!!

I've had to superglue my fingers several times in the past, the worse was when I had a woodworking job and was sanding a piece of wood with the table sander....the piece of wood went airborne and it got my thumb and index finger pretty good-on my picking hand! It was pre-superglue era and...

Country for the Common Man - A Parody

Nice tune, the drum beats were a nice diversion from standard country drumming. I thought the steel guitar and fiddles need to be more out front in the mix, and a few dB's louder as well-it was well played though. The Tele twang was sweet, that must be Waylon Zaphod tearing it up!;)

    Ibanez Basses! :)

I have a 4 string Ibanez copy of a Jazz bass that I bought in the mid 1970's and I have had zero problems with it, in 36 years string changes are all I have done. It plays well and records very well-even though I can't comment on a 5 string I would recommend Ibanez basses without a doubt.

    New Guitar Day

It looks really fine. Did you get the mahogany top or the spruce top? One of my other band members has a small 000 size Martin from the 1950's that is the easiest playing and lightest guitars I've played, I could play it all night! I bet yours has the same feel.

    Strings question

A good guitar setup book is a great asset for many maintenance and repairs of guitars. I have one called- Guitar setup, Maintenance & Repair by John Levan by Mel Bay books All kinds of info is in there, I use it for any bridge or truss rod settings and I've learned a lot, even wiring for...

New drummer......same ol tunes (so far)

Its been a while since I've heard Physical Graffiti, but it sounded pretty much like I remembered it-sure sounds like it would be a workout for all involved. Is that a univibe or some kind of phase shifter? It sounds good, and so does the song-I think you all did the song justice!!
