what sort of things might a chorus pedal be useful for exactly?

    guitar pedals

I did forget to mention that I'm sorry about how vague my question is, but Im thinking I don't really need an overdrive. I also meant to ask what people think I should buy next in terms of type of pedal rather than specific pedal. I did have the idea of an octave pedal actually cos they sound...

    guitar pedals

Hi guys, haven't been on here in a while but a question came up so here I am. It is my birthday at the end of this month and I have decided to start building my collection of guitar pedals (well actually I already have a wah). However I have a very limited knowledge on pedals so I am basically...

Changing playback speed without changing pitch.

Thanks for this! Been using drum samples and decided I wanted a quicker tempo but just changing the tempo didn't do anything but this worked :)

    tell me what you think

Cheers :) I forgot to mention actually I only had 12 days to make it and the last 3 I was very ill so only 9 really so it isn't perfect. The drums are all samples so I'm glad you like them :) The only problem with vocals is that I can't sing for my life! I couldn't really pull anyone in with...

    tell me what you think

Hi this is a song I wrote and made as my dad's christmas present. I had no idea what to call it so I went for plain and simple "christmas". Please comment on it and feel free to ask any questions. https://soundcloud.com/ollie-kaye/christmas

    drum samples

I didn't bother with software, don't really have the time to get my head around another programme, just got some samples and did it by hand and used quite a bit of copy and paste :)

    Longest recorded guitar solo?

hahaha! :D but I'd like to keep what I said as a general point about guitar solos though

    Longest recorded guitar solo?

NO idea really, but in reply to what Greg_L said I disagree. I think if there's just a guitar solo going over a backing track playing the same 4 chords for like a minute then it is too long, but if you actually mix it up a lot then it adds a whole different thing to a song

    drum samples

I posted a thread about drum samples recently, but then I was talking about replacing kicks from recorded drums, now it's something different. My dad asked if I could record a song as a christmas present so I was like "sure", but I wouldn't get a chance until christmas eve to record drums so I'm...

this is very likely a stupid question, but just as precaution and it being better to be safe than sorry, it won't affect the amp overheating or anything if I stack another amp a similar size on top of it will it?

    just a short preview

no it's not, probably the last thing I'll record on the mg50fx, the solo stuff in this will be on the new though :) yeah no all I did was put some samples in just in this section quickly for the purpose of putting it up. Other than that do you mean the drum sounds or the drum playing?

    just a short preview

    thanks for listening though!

    just a short preview

yeah I agree, but as I said it is nowhere near completion so hopefully what you said will be addressed :) DUDE FOO FIGHTERS FUCKING ROCK! As you can see I do like them :) My favourite band is avenged sevenfold and other than that my music taste is mostly not as heavy as that, apart from a few...

TASCAM US-1800, possible to use more than one simultaneously?

seems so simple! but what if you're daw changes what it says when you plug two in? so like if you have one plugged in then it doesn't give you the option to more than one, but if you plug two in then it does give you the option to use more than one? if that makes sense

    Distorted Guitar Cab Micing

I record with 1 es57 (57 copy) placed at about a 45 degree angle onto the cone and then double track the guitars and pan them left and right (varies how far) and I am very happy with the results!
