This one sounds a bit less dense/more calm and more natural to my ear. There's still some compression on at least the drums, right? And it's also one bar shorter. :p

Yes, I was looking at the waveform. Maybe this accounts for some placebo effect too, but I think it sounds rather compressed. It seems to make the track sound somewhat 'nervous'.
Anyway, this could be just me. I like lots of dynamics. :)
I need to know whether the Tascam US-1800 balanced outputs are suitable for connecting to a consumer grade amplifier's unbalanced inputs.
