Valveking 112 Have had the 112 for about 4 months or longer, sounds much better than solid state. I am sure someone will chime in and tell you it's not as good as a Mesa, whatever. Just remember it cost less than the tone knob on the Mesa.

Well You were just talking about installing a Floyd Rose. That would definetly cost $99 or more and routing would be needed. IMO, you will end up with a jacked up guitar that will be on ebay as a "project" guitar. Don't do it. Keep what you have and get some better saddles. If that were mine...

Motherbuckers I have a set installed in my G400 now, they sound sick. Much like stock SG pickups, only slightly hotter. Nice Alnico magnets, great all around PU. Wiring diagrams leave a little to be desired, but they have a good forum...

Interesting I gotta go + 1 for Epiphone. I love my G400 The problem is I would go - 1 for Gibson because I also feel the markup is sickening. So I guess my contribution is negated. To make it more fair, I would split Epiphone out from Gibson and Squire out from Fender.

I thought about trying this as well, with a Goth Epi Explorer. I can't bring myself to jack up a real Gibson. The Goth finish is perfect for painting on. To be honest, the pattern does not look that difficult to replicate. I would get some good paints and try it yourself. It really doesn't look...
