ASIO is the one you want.
Are you sure your speakers are hooked up to the interface correctly?
Not sure about the inputs though, when I first got my tascam us1800 and ran it through reaper I just had to change the inputs, that I want to be shown on the track inputs, in preferences on the same...
thanks, pins seem to work quite well. Yeah I'll try and play mind tricks with my dad muahaha :)
btw is your signature a saying or is it from red dwarf?
I just tried putting staple in the wall in my bedroom and it worked great however the wall in my studio room is a bit harder so made a slightly bigger mark, I would much prefer it to nails though
We're not renting my dad would just be really annoyed and wouldn't let me do it in the first place.
The problem with nails is that as well as it sounding like a bit more effort to cover up afterwards, but in the basement where the drums are the walls are next to water pipes so we're always...
Hey,
I was thinking of using industrial velcro to hold up some acoustic foam tiles but what my question is what type of mark will the adhesive leave on the wall if I take the velcro off?
Will there be adhesive left on the wall?
Or will there be some of the paint taken off the wall?
Thanks
after reading reviews it does seem that the akg perception 170's are amazing value for money, but the question is by how much? This £100 pair of them seem the cheapest and a god pack with a mic stand but are a pair worth £200 a better idea still?
hm what is the difference between the stc-1s and stc-1? because the latter is one microphone but only £100
The akg perception 170 are only £100 altogether! how good are they for the money?
Hey,
I am looking to buy a pair of condenser microphones which will be used as overheads for drums, piano and perhaps other instruments such as violins.
The maximum I can spend is about £200 and I have found a couple such as the samson cl2's and the mxl 603's which fit my budget.
How would those...
I do have quite a bit more money at the moment as rewards for my exam results :D and yeap I think most that money could be spent on other things, but vocals are certainly a weak point in my studio so I do need to invest to bring the standard level with the rest of my equipment.
ah okay thanks.
It is these tiles and these bass traps.
I'm not sure how I could put them up with nails though - would just putting a nail through the middle be too simple?
Well I don't think foam is the best but they are quite cheap and a lot easier to get as opposed to making panels myself...
okay thanks for your advice. I had heard about that actually, isn't it something like them being pretty much the same as a 57 but with the case on top?
I use a es57 or something like that for guitar at the moment which is a 57 copy, and I am actually very pleased with my guitar tone at the...
I don't think I could give any a test, I don't know anyone who even has a studio quality microphone so I'm a bit stuck there.
the fact that I quite like the 58 copies given the price might suggest a 58 would be a safe option?
I'll look those up thanks :)
The only vocal mics I have at the moment are a couple of 58 copies which really aren't meant for the studio so you can see my need.
