that out of tune sound is what I don't want as well, but listening to demo's it seems that if you just don't put the rate or one of them up too high then it doesn't do that but it still gives the nice sound

The thing is I really want that clean sound you get in metal you know? I think it has a bit of chorus in it, not lots. As far as I know there is'nt another way to do this?

oh I do understand you after watching demos and stuff, but a problem with that is that I don't have enough money to get two good flanger and delay pedals, so I might be better off geting a good chorus pedal for now, and then as my collection builds I can add them to it

I think I will get a chorus pedal because I realise that that is what makes the really cool sound in loads of metal songs and stuff ya know? I looked around a bit and the boss ch-1 and ce-5's both look good but which one is better? I couldn't really figure out the difference really?
