Bandpass around 800-2k (play around with the cutoffs for best result). Send it thru the Guitar suites tubescreamer plugin. Add some reverb to taste. If you REALLY want it to sound effected, send it to the reverb pre-fader, and pull the channel fader way down, or all the way down.

It sounds OK to me. Still kinda lost though. If you just can't track a second take, you can probably get this to work even better with a little work. Are they hard panned? They still sound pretty centered, but that sometimes happens with this technique.

The BLUE Bottle is one of the best sounding mics I've ever heard. The Baby bottle is one of the worst. Just my opinion. Big Kenny's options are WAY better IMO.

Yeah, I don't think the question makes sense. I wouldn't consider that mic to be a standard - it's fairly popular with the rap genre - but I would guess less than 10% of big studios would have that mic on hand. Your point is still valid though. Most "industry standard" mics are pretty expensive.

Now try pitch shifting one of the time altered tracks up 10 cents, and one down ten cents.......

It would be easier with a sound clip, but I'd start with double tracking the part, playing it VERY tight, and pan the two tracks apart to taste.

That's not the only thing that sucks about it! Also, ADC is not the same as Cubase delay compensation for outboard effects...... Nice!

Thought it was worth repeating. I'd bet 99% of the songs you hear on the radio were mixed with a comp on the mix buss. Maybe more. :D
