    King Bloom - Overgrown

Do all the tracks start at the same place? (so I can just drag them into my DAW) What type of files are these? MP3?

    Acoustic Track, feedback welcome

Yeah, I knew it was a harmonica, I was wondering about the recording and mixing techniques you used. You covered most of it, but could you tell me what reverb you used and some of the settings? Thanks!

Where are all the metal heads?!?!?!

As far as the mix, it needs the bass and vox turned up a bit. ;) Drums sound pretty fake, but you know that already. I'd try and get some more cymbal/room sound into them. Toms are kinda weird as well/somewhat distracting. Also, there are sections where the guitars are not very together...

Instrumental (for now), Need help on dums.

Yep, that's why I said not 100%. But, you'll have some pop from the OH's and the meat from the deeper snare, which may be better than either one alone. As far as drumagog, yeah, that's essentially how it works. I think Drumagog may even cut them up for you, can't remember for sure, as it's...

Where are all the metal heads?!?!?!

It works fine for me, if I'm supposed to be listening to Black Metally 2 rendered.

Why not just sample the other snare and drumagog it? Won't be 100% the same as re-recording, but it may give you the best of both, and just takes a few minutes. Anyway, just an idea.

    Live recording video

Saw this a while back, and just wanted to say that I really enjoyed it, and wanted to bump it back to the front page. :D

    Acoustic Track, feedback welcome

I like this a lot. I absolutely love the harmonica sound. Can you give any details on recording and mixing that you did? As far as any improvements, I'd say the bass is the weakest point. It could use a little definition. I'd maybe fatten the guitars a bit. Those are just very minor...

    Straight up rock

LOL. I love it! The band only existed for a single afternoon. That's it. Won't EVER be getting back together. This was just a side project that the four of us decided to do a couple years ago as a "one day of fun in the studio" kind of thing. We originally learned, recorded, mixed, and...

OK, so I made a few tweaks. Re-recording is not an option, it was always meant as a "one-time" thing. It's supposed to sound a little raw, a little flawed, etc. Changed most of what TripleM suggested. Tried to eliminate some of the masking. Hopefully it's better. Also, hit the busscomp a...

    Acoustic Ballad

Updated the OP with a new link. Brought the vocal up, and smoothed out some of the pitch problems. A few other minor tweaks. http://www.lightningmp3.com/live/44654-jaykay.mp3 :D

Anybody wanna give a quick critique? This was a side project that lasted just one afternoon. The two singers each brought three songs to the jam, and the four of us learned them, and just jammed them "live". One or two takes for all the parts. The song ends the way it does because the...

    Acoustic Ballad

Thanks for the critiques guys. I'll bump the vocals up a bit, and try and find a take of that section that works, but they all seemed kinda off. He may have to come back and fix that one word.

    Acoustic Ballad

Here is an acoustic ballad I recorded recently. Looking for critiques on the mix and the vocal pitch mainly, but all comments are welcomed. Listened to it too much and think I've lost perspective. [url]http://www.lightningmp3.com/live/44654-jaykay.mp3url] Thanks! :D
