Problems with installed EIC2 piano sample

You need to contact customercare@ableton.com . In the time you've spent here trying to get it sorted out, you could have gone straight to the source and gotten it worked out. They know their software inside & out, and they are the ones who created the registration/unlocking process to begin...

Problems with installed EIC2 piano sample

Yeas, registering (Activation) is required, otherwise Ableton will work, but with limited functionality (or for a limited time before functionality is reduced, I don't remember which). Once it's activated, you'll be able to go online from within Ableton to activate the EIC2 and unlock all the...

Problems with installed EIC2 piano sample

Has been a while since I had to do all that, so forgot to add that you will be sent a serial number and a "challenge code". Hang onto the e-mail they send you that has both those bits of info, as you may have need of them in the future should you add more content, or need to re-install Ableton...

Problems with installed EIC2 piano sample

If it's a new installation of Ableton, they will send you a serial number when you register the product with them. Then you use the unlocking routine (see the link in my previous post) to go online from within Ableton and enter the serial number when prompted to do so. Once Ableton 6 has been...

Problems with installed EIC2 piano sample

Have you unlocked the EIC2 from within Live 6 yet? Even if it's installed on your computer, you still need to unlock (authorize) EIC2 so it will be available to you while using Ableton. Ableton - Unlocking Live 6/Live LE and its extensions

    Royalties for Album Artwork

While the original copyright for the painting might have expired (depending on what country you hail from: the lifetime of the copyright varies from nation to nation), you would still be using an image of the artwork that might be protected under copyright laws since someone else (or a business...

    Sooooo, about drums?

Yeah, I thought it was pretty cool, too! :-) I just muddle through with layering it out with the keyboards, and then tweaking it around with the mouse. Playing it at that level in real time would be a sweet skill to have. ;-) Have been jonesing for a decent electronic drum kit for a while...

Or you could spend a few years to learn to do it like this:

Ableton live 8 lite + Focusrite Scarlett + pentium i7 8 gig ram = LATENCY

The buffer size is controlled by the audio interface on my set up (Windows Vista using a m-Audio 2496 PCI card). I can't adjust the buffer size from within Ableton, but when I change it using the Delta Control Panel (part of the m-Audio driver software) it changes the settings in Ableton to...

A few minutes of rhythmic distractions for your ear vaginas...

Damn! That's a sweet deal! Hmmm... if I can find one even close to that price, I might try for one for x-mas! I keep forgetting about the flea when it comes to great bargains... Eyes are officially peeled!

A few minutes of rhythmic distractions for your ear vaginas...

Oh, man! You have NO idea how much I want one of those! Well, actually, you probably do! ;-) I have one of those listed on my "Wish List", and hope to have one in my possession next year. Way cool stuff!

A few minutes of rhythmic distractions for your ear vaginas...

Thanks! I know it has some faults, and am hanging on to the MIDI file so I can go back in and rework a few spots, but I am enjoying the drums in Ableton more & more as I use them and tweak them to taste. That piece was all done with a mouse instead of with my MPK61, but by manually tweaking...

A few minutes of rhythmic distractions for your ear vaginas...

Done in Ableton Suite 8.3.3 Made a custom 16-piece drum kit and tuned the drums with my little Korg GA guitar/bass tuner for a little sweeter & more cohesive sound.

Okalee-dokalee! Made a new & shorter alpha-numerical password and all seems back to normal! I'll chalk it up to my own stupidity, frazzled grey matter, and nerve damaged fingers. ;-) Sometime I feel too stupid to be allowed online... ;-)

Finally able to log on again with the new account! :-) I checked my IP address and the one listed is mine, but both times I attempted to log in on my "old" account (MadMac) I was only able to try twice on the first attempt before being told I failed 5 of 5 tries, so I waited 20 minutes and tried...

    Sitar(ish) sound with 6-string Bass & Ableton Suite 8.3.3

Have been experimenting with approximating a sitar-type of sound using Audio Effects in Ableton Suite 8.3.3, using my Ibanez 6-string bass, and did a quick improve when I found a nice sound combination using "Simple Delay" (Audio Effects>Simple Delay) and "Intimate & Colorful" (Audio Effects...
