I see a lot of songs put up on here, getting opinions, which I am all for. I just put one on here myself. But, I had it copyrighted before doing so. I would like to get others input on my mixing of our originals, but I hate to put any of our songs on here that are not copyrighted. Not that we...
I used a parametric eq, took out the boomyness of those notes and turned the attack to 0 on compressor. Worked like a charm without effecting rest of track.
I will try parametric eq, see if I can get rid of the boomy sound. If not, I will go thru and adjust the volume of those notes. I hear it a little when mixing, its more pronounced when playing on other media, truck stereo. Everything else sounds good. Im the bass player, and notice a lot more...
I went with the KRK's. I have done some mixing with these on 3 songs we are working on. Burned a disk to see how they translated to real world systems. It did pretty good. I am a bass player by trade, I did not think they add any more bass then what I naturally heard. They did represent the...
OK thanks for your info fellas. I appreciate it. I can only spend about 300-450 dollars. I know its not much, but its a start. Any recommendations on this price range.
I have been home recording for about 8 months now. I use mixcraft 6 pro studio. I now use computer speakers when mixing, then check the mix with my stereo and also play it in my truck. Then go back and make the needed changes. If I buy monitors, will they really represent what I am hearing with...
Our drummer is not the best, but he holds the beat good when playing together. He fits our mold. All married, kids, we are all firemen, so our schedules mesh. We all love the same vein of music.
Im new at recording on a computer. We had a fostex 4 track. We have moved in to 21st century. lol I have been reading tons on eq, parametric eq, mixing, mastering. I am eating it up. The guitar player and I (bass guitar) have played together since we were 15, we are now 43. We have tons of...
Yeah, we already recorded some of our originals(as a band) we are going to do, and record and playback worked good thru the mixer. Just getting some other input is always good.
We have a ZED 14 mixer with 5 mics going to it from the drums, into a HP with mixcraft 6, via usb. Our drummer wants the guitar to play along with him to help with where he is at in the song. Im going to run the guitar into the board, and send the signal of guitar to our drummer, via headphones...
That is the interface Ive been looking at. We have the mics, cords, stands etc. Its electric. We grew up in the 80's, we lived for the hairbands. Guitar player and I (bass guitar) have been playing together for 30 years. As for the fires, we get paid the same, whether we have 10 fires a shift...
