Another Reason to Avoid Behringer Gear?

You should really pick up "Behind The Glass", you'll find many major label producers who use and recommend some low end consumer grade gear and no not for a designed shitty sound. In fact I recall one of them (Don't rememeber who and not looking through the whole book to find out) highly...

Another Reason to Avoid Behringer Gear?

Welcome to the real world. Ever wonder why there are hundreds if not thousands of guitar makers making guitars that look almost exactly like a Fender Strat? Every manufacturer takes from others. You can find fault with and a reason not to buy from all of them if you want to.

Another Reason to Avoid Behringer Gear?

I've mentioned this before. David Bowies producer uses Behringer compressors, he has for years. I'm pretty sure he's used/uses plenty of "better" compressors and I'm comfortable in believing he picks Behringer over mega buck high end fancy name compressors for reasons other than the price :D

Another Reason to Avoid Behringer Gear?

BS, F**k the Gov! They are the biggest and worst crooks and liars in America! Besides, you can find fault with any and all "ligitimate" manufacturers/big business if you look hard and deep enough. Long live Behringer, oh, and stick it to the man!

FACT #1 Peart is a life-less uninspired no taste drum hack, no groove, none. I got more groove in the pimples of my ass! Fact #2 Vai: Same as above, just insert guitar for drum Fact #3 They simply were not born with "it", they are "learned" musicians, nothing wrong with that, but it's what it...

    best sounding acoustic guitar

The guitar on "Fast Car" sounds really good, if perhaps a tad too processed for my taste. I like a bare bones acoustic, just a touch or reverb to help sit it back a bit. I'm not a big fan of chorus on acoustic unless it's in a dense mix. Before I bought any of my "good" guitars I recorded using...

So Mozart, one of the most famous composers of all time didn't know theory, but little ole me knows theory even though I don't know I know? Then why didn't Mozart know it even if he didn't know he knew, ya know? hehe :D

    Which setting is better

"Rules" are meant to be broken. If you like the sound the way you set up the chain then that's all that counts. People can recommend the "correct" way and often times have valid reasons for doing so, but never let that stop you from experimenting.

An amazing day with a legend: Bob Katz

It should also be noted that Chuck Ainlay also uses some cheap home consumer gear. "Ainlay also brings along three large racks of his own gear. These hold an impressive array of processing tools, including select vintage goodies, premium recent-model EQs, and some units often found in home...

An amazing day with a legend: Bob Katz

He made many major label albums using some cheap ass Behringer gear, albums that have sold millions, singles that have been hits. If you're too moronic to understand the scope of what that means, then keep scratching your head like a monkey and farting all day.

How much is the Studio Projects B1 at your guitar center?

Now why'd you go and do that? YOU were right, he was insulted twice for asking a simple question. The "faggot" comment, although childish, was fine by me. It seems they can dish it out but cry fowl when it's dished back. Canibus, The B-1 is a great mic, I'm sure it's Studio Projects best...

An amazing day with a legend: Bob Katz

One of my favorites. Take note of the many producers who use and recommend some low end gear. Off the top of my head I remember David Bowies producer saying he uses Behringer compressors! I also remember TC and Zoom products being mentioned as well as the old Black Face DATs that now go for...

Technical "abilty" does not ruin talent. Everyone that plays an instrument has some. Studying theory is a whole different ball game and it's not at all going to help make you into the next Eddie Van Halen or Clapton or BB, it may make you into the next Vai, but who in the world would want that!!!

Agreed. Not even close, First of all You don't "sell" songs, that hasn't been done since the 40s and 50s. The publisher issues a license to the artists to use your song. Songs are pitched by playing a demo for the people you are pitching to (producers, A&R people, Artists, etc.), if they like...

I have two sayings for you .. Most out here seem to be into forms of "popular" music. I'm not talking units sold. I'm talking about legendary artists/bands that have sustained long careers and for good reason, they are good/great at what they do. Here's a saying for you "You can fool some of...

And my opinion is that ACDC are far and away more popular for a reason, their songs move you. You can't leanr to write a simple lick like in Back and Black, Steve CAN'T learn to do that, that's the magic that's missing from someone like Vai. To say I'd rather be able to do what Angus can do...

Cheap outboard reverb Vs free plugins

I have the rumour which is good, I have an older Sony dps-v55 I like just as much or better and has more in the way of editing abilty, I also have a Behringer v-verb for a lousy $150 bucks that give both a run for their money. If you are on a budget you will not me disapointed in the v-verb.

Theory might mkae some a more informed musician, it might help you to understand how things come together, but it can't tell you WHY something sounds the way it does, why it feels good, why it can bring out your emotions. Like I said before, you (not you personally) do your thing I'll do mine...
