The Gibson J-45 is the acoustic guitar that has been recorded most often. Or at least that's what I've read. I would say that to get that "Shining" sound you're going to need a guitar that "Shines". You're going to need a high-end Gibson, Martin, Taylor, etc, to get the sound that you're after...
