I'd have to agree. Journaling certainly keeps your mind in the game, generates ideas on top of ideas, gets you in the mood to write, etc. You might find that your depressing lack of inspiration yields an incredible amount of inspiration, odd as it sounds.

Once I used a mac and (insert software name here) for a school project. It was honestly the most painless and easy process I can imagine. I don't know how easy it would be to sync the recorded song to video tho. :( In any event good luck
