Tascam 244 is very easy to use. And you can record some clicks in all the tracks at the beggining and end of every song to help you align all the tracks visually on any DAW.
I just posted this in other threat, but could be helpful:
I found that this pinch rollers could work in the 244:
Outer Diameter 13 mm
Axis hole Mass 2.00mm
Width of the axle 7,5 mm
Width of the rubber 6.5 mm
and for idler tire
outside 18mm
inside 12 mm
width 3mm
height 3mm
in case someone needs some parts, this may help,

I am happy to find someone talking about this, I purchased one two weeks ago and I am really happy with this machine.
Mine needed a little bit cleaning, I sanded just a little bit the idle tire, because forward and rewind was very slow, and now it is working great.
Can I ask what was in need of...
yes, i discover that aftera looong looong time looking at it. i don´t want to break anything hahahaha. I could even change the idler tire but, thats all. There is a lot of connectors and wires linked...
Hello, I found one of this last week, the thing sounds quite well, trully impressed...
after fixing the idler tire, everything it is fine.
The is no so much info out there about this machines, so any info or advise would be great.
thanks anyway
well, solved, bad connectors, oxide, but after cleaning ALL, it works perfect.
If someone in Europe knows a way to have a test tape copied or whatever, please, tell me.
thanks anyway
Replaced the channel card, also the tape cue card, but is not solved.
Line out seems to works fine, so it must be something monitor related, don't know, but that it is in the can behind a million cables....
Hello all.
I have a strange problem I dont know where to start.
There is no technical service for this in Spain...
The thing is if I record on track 1, it works, I can hear what i have recorded on the tape cue position, tape out 1 works too, but if I change to "remix" and track 1 to "TAPE" it...
I've seen the board or block at the back of the erase head may be a bit separated so some contacts may be broken, can this be fixed by unmounting just the head and soldering?
well, not finished...
it does not erase well when recording, still hear previous takes...
i'm recording with CUE selected, may be a problem of the heads, right?
its a pedal, the CD10, same guts as the AD9.
But today i'm liking more one similar to the 1776 Effects Multiplex Echo/Delay a friend build for me.

it sounds quite good with the delay, I almost see nebraska from my window..
I think i'll try all the other stompboxes I have, this is going to be funny... :)
